England Coast Path - Boston to Mablethorpe

A view from Vickers Point on the north side of Ingoldmells

The England Coast Path, Lincolnshire section between Boston and Mablethorpe

A truly flat landscape throughout the entire walk, with the first part through to Skegness along river and sea banks, and the second section through to Mablethorpe following the coastal side of the resorts interspersed with dune, beach and promenade.

Walk Notes

The section from Boston to Skegness has not been validated by Griffmonster Walks as when the Lincolnshire coast was walked in 2014, the ECP had yet to be introduced and although there was some public access, both bad weather and private access sought us to find an alternative via the village of Wrangle.

The second section from Skegness to Mablethorpe was walked and followed the route that is now defined by the Englan Coast Path. This can be found on the page Lincolnshire Coast Path - Skegness to Mablethorpe

Refreshments

The first section from Boston to Skegness has little in the way of refreshment stops unless one navigates away from the coast to the villages along the A52 road. This would require at least a 2 mile walk away from the coast.

There are numerous pubs, cafes and restaurants in the resorts between Skegness and Mablethorpe.

Directions

The England Coast Path is well signposted throughout this section. It is difficult to get lost due to the self evident route alongside the coast.
